A CHIC AND ELEGANT hoME
The Saint-Louis was one of the oldest hotels in Marseille. Today, Amista is a large family home, sunny and welcoming. Completely and perfectly restored. A house run by history enthusiasts, as we are.
A home where the sun is king
AT GINTO'S
THE SUN SHINES
FROM WITHIN
We are very proud to be able to count on the talent of Dorothée Delaye, our interior designer for the Amista hotel, the architect of our Provençal emotions.
“With Amista, I wanted to restore this place to its former glory by celebrating Marseille and its port history. Here, generosity and conviviality prevail, in a house inhabited by enthusiasts and filled with objects from multiple influences. Every detail pays tribute to local artisans and authentic materials, creating a sincere and timeless atmosphere. We share, we laugh, we dream... and we live Marseille to the full. Welcome to Amista!” Dorothée Delaye
She has brought light to the decor of Gabrielle Chanel's private apartment, to Jean-François Piège's new restaurant, to a collector's house in Hossegor and to luxury hotels in Paris. She draws inspiration from the history of the place, from our Ginto DNA, from the spirit that makes Marseille and Provence so vibrant, to give our hotel a rare elegance.
It has awakened the sleeping beauty that was our Amista, daring to offer it the chance to open a new and totally unprecedented chapter.
At the Hotel Amista you are far from stereotypes. In a place decorated with objects found during our travels. Lively with colors, patterns, materials and that omnipresent sun, in an intimate and warm house. At Ginto and here in particular, we love the splendor of materials, of chic and casual, as much as the welcoming softness of a sofa.
Because here you don't come to be seen, but to feel at home. At Ginto, luxury is the attention to detail, the elegance of discretion, the perfection of a decoration that has a soul and, above all, the charm of exclusivity.
Welcome to a world beyond time
HARMONY
A TOUCH OF SINCERITY
“You don't recreate the old, you hunt it down, you repair it, you bring it up to date.” An old piece of furniture awaits you at the reception desk. Travel souvenirs, local handicrafts or finds from here and there, from near and far. A second-hand desk, a lamp from a century past, a Gien service that has so many stories to tell.
You won't find anything you've already seen in our Hotel Amista. But you will find happy accumulations, colors and materials that bring every corner of our hotel to life.
The result? From the lobby to each of our 24 rooms, you feel like you've returned from a trip; your heart is still light, with that indescribable feeling of being at home, your mind free.
Each room is a painting
A painting by Dorothée Delaye. Orangey yellow, blue green or pink. Each has a strong identity, a unique atmosphere and furnishings.
Provençal fabrics curl around the headboards and adorn the curtains. Materials meet colors, creating a family home atmosphere to make you feel right at home. In our bathrooms, colorful floor tiles, earthenware and custom-made wallpaper. Antique objects and a touch of retro.
Rattan meets antiques, Murano glass dialogues with wrought iron... Styles and eras tell the story of time passing in a form of eclectic harmony, an inspiring singularity.
Designed hand in hand with Dorothée Delaye and the Ginto team, the Provençal prints designed by the Elitis company are tailor-made for our Amista hotel. As a tribute to the origins of Marseille, welcoming pigments from the East and Asia and specializing in the production of printed and quilted fabrics in the 18th century.
We bring together these dazzling colors, with Provençal and Indian motifs.
Elitis brings us its vision of creation and metamorphosis, to deliver all the poetry of the world on wallpaper.
